Shambala Willow Huts
Designed for the permaculture area at Shambala Festival 2019, the three natural material huts were created as a non verbal invitation into this space.
To come and spend time with a view out to the lake, watching people go by or inviting them in.
The woven walls had an open window all the way around under the roof, allowing you to see out as you sat inside.
It was incredibly hot that year and the huts became refuges from the sun, under the roof, and in their shadows people retreated to cool down.
I enjoyed making structures that were used so innately by others, that led to musical moments, meetings and more I will never know about!
